SQUAD + CAGERACE

SQUAD is a raw, cinematic documentary series about what it takes to make one of the toughest sports teams in the world - Australia's national swimming team - and represent the country at the 2028 and 2032 Olympic Games.. CAGERACE is the World Series for extreme swimming.

These two engines are powering a new type of content made for a new type of audience. Untraditional. Unconventional.

Making Waves

SQUAD isn’t just a new kind of series. It’s a new kind of system. The commercial engine is a sprint series called CageRACE - with events like KORNARA and TORRENT - designed to fund swimmers pre-representative duties - and also provide them with career opportunities once they've finished swimming for Australia.TORRENT uses a lactate test as a format to introduce drama and unpredictability. We also aim to help swimmers understand the media - even shoot content.

Australia set some of the highest standards in the world for membership of it's swim team

The First Priority:
• 24 swimmers fighting to make the Australian team for Los Angeles 2028.
• Series 1: 13 x 1hr episodes — documenting the sacrifice, the setbacks, and the breakthroughs.
Series 2. 13 x 1hr episodes 2028-2032
• 24 more swimmers rising for Brisbane.
• A second generation, a second fight - at home. Drawn from SQUADS around Australia.

SQUAD maps the invisible side of Australian swimming. The parents pulling three shrifts to put their kids through school and pay for training.

Fast & waterproof.

The iPhone allows us to work fast in conditions that would destroy traditional cameras. And on a high-performance pool deck, you don't get a second take. We started shooting on the iphone15ProMax. As of February 2026, we are on the iphone17ProMax. By the time we wrap Series 1, we will be shooting the 19.
Almost everything is shot in Apple ProRes 422 HQ LOG. Supplemented with drones and action, and 360-degree cams. Centre-weighted for short-form vertical and immersive.
The 2028 Series 1 SQUAD - 13 x 44-minute episodes, is being filmed in the heartland of the sport - SE Queensland. The GC. Plus Brisbane and country regions.
The 2032 Series 2 SQUAD - 13 x 44-minute episodes, will be filmed at SQUADS across the country.
Shot and edited by gonzo journalist Brett Clements and produced by Linda Clements, with Professor Peter Reaburn and Milt Barlow on business affairs and distribution.

Mobile by necessity. Unstoppable by spirit.Cameras get better. Athletes get better. The content gets better.Exponential, vertical growth.

SQUAD - trading youth for a shot at making one of the toughest teams on earth. The Australian Swimming Team
